TGIF, Shopaholics! Disclaimer: Please ignore my awful hair in the photo - I couldn't make it to the salon this week but not to worry, I'll be there next Wednesday. She was visiting our little slice of paradise for spring break! Along for the ride: both of Wendy's children, her sister Melissa and Melissa's son. They live right up the road in Atlanta and come down to Gulf Shores several times a year. A few weeks ago, Wendy emailed me to say she would be in town and would love to get together. Talk about excited! I love to meet people who read my blog and that I already know I'll have a *ton* of stuff in common. True to my expectations - meeting Wendy and Melissa was like lunching with old friends. Happy Tuesday, Shopaholics! Thanks so much for all your kind words and comments after my last blog post. Admittedly I was feeling a wee bit sorry for myself and a little unloved. You know I'm not normally one to be "down" on anything - least of all myself! Your support means the world to me, and I really appreciate you all caring about my life - even when I'm not shopping. LOL Do you remember me being excited about getting tickets to the Bon Jovi concert here at the beach? I managed to talk my friend Lucy over at Caroline Grace Jewelry into coming down for the concert and to spend the weekend.  It was the first time we'd met in person, although we were already big buddies on Twitter, Facebook, etc. DH was calling her a "computer friend"; so thankfully she came down and proved to him she was a "real friend".
