The Virginia Tunic by Jules Reid: A New Favorite

Image
Do you remember my post a while back about Jules Reid? (If not, you can view HERE ). Suffice to say, I have a tunic obsession that goes back many many years and always have my eyes peeled for fabulous finds. The Virginia Tunic from Jules Reid (available on her website HERE ) is now officially one of my favorites.  You know how we all love receiving a blue box on our doorstep? Well, how about a teal box? All of your purchases from Jules Reid arrive in this fabulous teal box, tied with a bow, ready for gift giving. In my case, the tunic was a "gift to self" - aren't those some of the best ones? We all need a treat every now and then. :-)  I paired my tunic with white shorts and gold wedges (please forgive my hair, I needed highlights so bad when this was taken). Lilly Pulitzer Summer Favorites

Happy Thursday to you! DH is on vaca the next two days, and we plan to split our time between here and my parents home on Dauphin Island.  As you probably remember from yesterday's post, I am more than a little concerned about the oil spill out in the Gulf of Mexico. It's stressing me out, so in true Shopaholic style, I spent a little time looking over the new Summer collection by Lilly Pulitzer.  A few of my favorites, some will certainly move from favorite status to "must have" status soon!  Worth Shift, Stuffed Shells, $178  Daphne Dress, Classic White Jacquard, $248 Cedar Knit Dress, Hotty Pink Lace By The Docks, $218 Claudie Dress, Aquamarine Catch of the Day, $368 Ashley Maxi Dress, Stuffed Shells, $298 There are so many styles and prints in this collection that I absolutely love! Two items of note: 1) I'm loving the blue and white or blue and coral colored items more than ever this season, and 2) there are no ...

TUNIC Obsession Continues.......

Happy Saturday my friends! DH and I went to a seafood festival today and had a great time! We thought it would be a great place to also have lunch, but we didn't. Instead we strolled around the car show (lots of cool ones today - big engines and snazzy paint jobs still impress me!) and shopped the craft show. After the festival, we went to lunch at a local dive called "King Neptunes" and feasted on fried shrimp and fried catfish. After that food and two beers, it was nap time! :-)  While getting dressed today, I was thinking about how many TUNICS are in my wardrobe and how often I find myself reaching for them. During the fall and winter, I'm generally in a tunic and jeans or cords. When the weather is a tad warmer, my tunics get a little lighter (think light cotton and linen blends) and I wear them with skirts and white capris. There are a few I'm currently coveting - let me know what you think! Do you love these as much as I do??? :-) Lilly Pulitzer PILA...
