We all love to shop designer - and we all love a great deal. Right? And how about knowing that we are supporting a small business that is female owned? That makes it even better! And getting FREE shipping every day - that's just the icing on the cake!  Meet my friend Anna's store, Paisley of Daniel Island . Paisley is a fun, upbeat boutique that specializes in affordable and unique clothing and accessories and is located in beautiful and fashionable Charleston, South Carolina. Paisley carries fabulous brands like Tracy Negoshian, Escapada, Hatley, Jude Connally and many others. But the good news is that even if you're not local to Charleston (and not lucky enough to be on vacation there) - you can still shop with Paisley.  And today only - Paisley is offering 20% off one item. It's a great opportunity to pick up a new dress or tunic from some of our favorite designers! Or - maybe you need a new monogrammed clutch? Here are a few of my favorite picks that are incl...

Quit Your Job, Buy A Ticket, Get A Tan, Fall In Love, Never Return: Island Company Brightens Up A Monday!

Image
Doesn't that sound like a dream on a Monday morning? Who doesn't want to quit their job, buy a ticket to paradise, get a tan in paradise, fall in love (quite possibly again with the same person you already love!), and never return? The folks at Island Company  are making it easy for us to at least act like that's what we're doing everyday!  I recently discovered Island Company and love all of their products! They are headquartered in West Palm Beach (not a surprise, huh?). Island Company is a focused lifestyle brand featuring women's and men's apparel, accessories, sun care, and lots of fun things. The brand is a perfect match to our lifestyle here on the Alabama Gulf Coast.  Today, I will be sporting the Quit Your Job Tervis Tumbler on my desk at work. Think everyone will understand that I'm not happy to be working on a Monday? HA! You can get yours HERE on their website.  The folks at Island Company were kind enough to send me a few products to rev...

Wish List Wednesday: Shabby Apple, Red and Black Edition

Image
It's been a long time since I embraced clothing in colors of red, black or any combination of the two. This glaring omission in my wardrobe becomes crystal clear to me on Alabama home game days. Keep in mind - unlike a lot of other ladies my age, I'm well aware that I shouldn't dress like a college student or sorority girl. I do love wearing skirts and easy fitting dresses to Tuscaloosa - and don't believe that because I'm over 30 years old, I should show up in khaki capris and an Alabama tee shirt, sporting Merrell sneakers. (Perish the thought, I do see that on Saturdays). I might be 41, but there's no reason I should look like a old lady.  The folks at Shabby Apple seem to have an answer to my problem! After seeing a giveaway sponsored by Shabby Apple on my friend EAS's blog, I have spent more time than I care to admit perusing their website. (You can enter EAS's giveaway and sign up to follow her blog  HERE ).    Is it any wonder, these be...

Meet Kiel James Patrick - A New Preppy Favorite!

Image
Happy Thursday, Fashionistas! Today I'm so excited to introduce you (or help you become more familiar) with a wonderful preppy favorite brand, Kiel James Patrick. Through the miracle of Twitter, I met Kiel James Patrick several weeks ago. After looking over the website, I was in love with the designs. Everything is so, shall we say, Preppy? And you'll notice by looking on their website, everyone is just Pretty. The models are surrounded by boats and water, the sun is shining and it all makes me think summer. :-) What's not to love, right? Recently I placed an order for a few things that were my absolute favorites. My new goodies, in no particular order below.  Drift Oak Ear Knot, Tipsy at Black Pearl Pub $35 . Let me share a secret with you about Shopaholic and earrings. I never, ever, wear studs. The backs usually just bother me. When I talk on the phone (which I do - a LOT), they dig into the back of my head. They always make my ear lobes itch. I know, I have iss...

Happy Wednesday my dear friends! I'm so EXCITED today, I have the pleasure of introducing you to "THE ART OF ELISE FRANCESCA". Elise recently found my blog and contacted me about her designs, as they are a PERFECT match for all things Spring and Preppy!  A little information about Elise's designs and business, directly from her Facebook page: Elise Francesca Fargnoli co-founded FRANCESCA JOY, with Carolyn Roy, an interior designer in Palm Beach. They came together with their love for design, couture, and color. FJ is a home decor/lifestyle collection based on Elise's designs and paintings. The collection includes tote bags, t-shirts, and chemises- all of which are hand painted and designed by Elise. Tote bags are currently sold in South Florida, while the home decor line (including items for pets) will launch March 2010 in Designer Avenue, Palm Beach. Along with starting her own company, Elise is currently represented by Agora Gallery, in the heart of th...
