Neiman Marcus+ Target Designer Collaboration

Image
Unless you were in hiding this past weekend, you know two things. #1 - Alabama won the SEC championship and is playing Notre Dame for the BCS National championship in January, and #2 - the Neiman Marcus + Target collection launched in stores and online on Saturday.  The collection features 24 of America's most popular designers, all members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). In recognition of these designers and their contribution to the collection, Neiman Marcus and Target donated a total of $1 million to the CFDA.  I will admit to staying up a little bit late (early!) to hit the websites as soon as the collection was available. So far, I have purchased the Tory Burch Lunch Box for $19.99 and Printed Beverage Container for $19.99. (both are available on Neiman Marcus website  HERE ). Stylish options for taking one's lunch to work, right? A fan on Facebook indicated she purchased five of these, and was planning to give them to her daughter to u...

The Webster Shop at Target

Image
Did you also fall in love with The Shops at Target? Naturally, my favorite shop is The Webster. All the designs are fun, and they are affordable so I didn't feel guilty about picking up several items. Here are some of my favorites - a few I have already purchased, others still need to be ordered.  The Webster at Target Tie Front Dress - Plaid Print Navy, $42.99. I purchased this dress at my local Target store and absolutely love it! I managed to integrate it into last week's work wardrobe by pairing it with my Lilly Pulitzer wedges in navy. This dress was a hit - at least a half dozen people asked me about it. Very comfortable too!  The Webster at Target Strapless Maxi Dress - Wallpaper Print Cream, $44.99.  My local Target store had this dress for exactly two days. On my first trip, I didn't purchase it because I was trying to minimize my purchases that day. Ugh...the next day, it was already gone. Good thing it's still available online, as I still want it!  ...

The Perfect Beach Hat

Image
Are you constantly searching for the perfect beach hat? Perhaps your requirements are the same as mine: your beach hat must be stylish, it must be comfortable, and preferably it matches everything in your closet. While I love the idea of a colored or printed beach hat, it rarely works for me in real life. Over and over again, I reach for a neutral hat on beach days. I was thrilled to find the above hat in my local Target. It was an absolute steal at only $14.99. The designer is Mossimo and the official style name is "Mossimo Supply Co Tan Shine Floppy Hat". What makes this hat so special? That shine is a gold-tone, so the hat really looks pretty in the sunlight. It's also large and floppy enough that it protected by face for a full day at the beach, and I didn't return home with a sunburned nose. :-)  What do you think of my new hat? (Picture taken last weekend)   If you've decided you "need" one of these hats, it is available on the Target web...

Restock Recon: Missoni For Target

Image
TGIF, Shopaholics! Well, we've certainly heard a lot about the Missoni for Target line this week, haven't we? Everyone knows - it sold out in hours online and in store, folks were fighting over merchandise in the aisles, and many peeps are extremely  upset over the prices being charged in the secondary market.  Since the craziness of Tuesday, the one question on every one's mind has been "Will Target restock the collection? When? What items will be restocked?" I have been wondering too - this week I have spoken to my favorite local Target employees, researched online, read all the news articles, seen the CNN reports, etc. The answers have been conflicting, at best. However, now this Shopaholic has "Restock Recon" for you. Please don't ask me where I acquired this information, because I can't tell you. I'm sworn to secrecy. Without further ado, here is the deal...plan accordingly.  The following departments will be restocked in som...

Missoni Mayhem

Image
Happy Hump Day!  Did you brave the crowds and craziness yesterday for the launch of the new "Missoni for Target" designer collaboration? I have to admit, I knew it was coming and I knew it would be "huge" - but I didn't expect what happened.  First off, I counted on people in my little beach town having no idea what Missoni was and being completely disinterested. Duh. Big mistake. Additionally, I have to admit I didn't expect the quality to be that great, based on the price points.  Surprise! My Target was almost wiped clean by 2pm when I finally arrived. The Target website crashed early in the morning - and by the time it finally recovered late last night, almost everything was sold out. However, I was lucky - and after seeing everyone's posts and comments on Facebook last night, I am more than thankful for my good fortune. The Shopaholic Shopping System was in full swing yesterday. Between me, my sister and one of my BFF's - we were te...

Naughty Betty: The Brutal Truth, All Prettied Up

Image
Happy Thursday, Shopaholics! Yesterday I found the most fun stationery line in - of all places - Target! This Shopaholic is a sucker for stationery items and believes in the power of the "written word". I love sending holiday cards, note cards, birthday cards, etc. Ask any of my friends/family - they're always receiving something from me! "Naughty Betty" is hilarious! The creator of this concept has a wonderful sense of humor. My Target store had note cards, sticky notes and note pads. There might be other items available in your store. At only $3.99 for a set of eight note cards, the pricing is very affordable for everyone! Some of the designs that found their way into my cart include: "Greetings from Crazyville" (hilarious - and pink and green!) "Help Us Accept The Things The Salon Cannot Change" (what can't be changed at the salon?) "Thinking of You Like Wine At 5 O'clock" (it's 5 o'clock somewhere, ...

Happy Thursday, Shopaholics! Many of you will remember that I mentioned the Target-Calypso St. Barth designer collaboration on this blog back on March 23 (post was HERE ). Needless to say, I've been looking forward to the collection's arrival in stores for quite some time! The past few days have been a little nuts around here, and just yesterday I finally had a chance to hit Target and try on some of my favorite pieces! In no particular order, below are a few of my "must have" pieces. Miss Trish of Capri - Target Style - 2011

Image
Happy Hump Day, Shopaholics! As you already know, I *love* buying shoes (and dresses, cosmetics/skin care, sunglasses, etc, etc). Two springs ago, I was very excited to hear from friends in the fashion industry that the famed "Miss Trish of Capri" was launching a line specifically for sale in Target. I love Miss Trish of Capri, and I love Target - could it be more perfect? My closet is packed with several pairs of the Miss Trish/Target shoes from the 2009 and 2010 collections, and some of the original Miss Trish of Capri styles (love the Grotto and Bali!). Last Friday, shopaholic sister Amy was blowing up my phone at 8AM from Target. Miss Trish has arrived for 2011! She sent me text photos of the available styles, but I was on Gilligan's Island  Dauphin Island and couldn't run to Target right away. Sadly, I had to wait until I arrived back to civilization to scope them out! For your shopping pleasure, Miss Trish of Capri, Targ...
