Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I have a few random thoughts...   Musing #1: Our weather is so strange this time of year. Just last week, we had highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's. Today, our projected high is 77 degrees and tomorrow it will be 79 degrees. Does this mean I can get a suntan in late October? At least it will make my 4 miles nice, huh? Happy Weekend, my Shopaholic friends! I hope you are having a wonderful time and enjoying it with family and friends! So many of you have commented, emailed, etc about my Mother's condition so I wanted to give you a quick update. Friday we went for a colonoscopy, and unfortunately it confirmed what we already suspected. Her Crohn's disease is officially out of remission and back with a vengeance. Several other tests were performed - including a biopsy.  Currently we are scheduled to go back to the doctor next Tuesday. At this appointment, we should know the "full picture" of exactly what we are dealing with and have recommendations for a treatment plan. I believe that at a minimum, we are looking at a series of Remicade injections. Again, thanks for all your kind words and emails - and I'll keep everyone posted.  I guess the stress of the past few weeks caught up with me on Friday afternoon. Sun with waves of sunlight radiating outward Happy Monday everyone! Oh my goodness -- it is so HOT here! Yesterday I took my nephew over to the beach - just so he could see it, as we couldn't have our normal "beach party". The sand was literally burning the bottoms of our feet! The wind is just barely blowing. It's 94 degrees with humidity in the 85-90% range, creating a heat index of 105-109. I'm showering two or three times a day. If you just walk outside, you feel like you need a shower! Crazy - considering it's still June - and technically not "summer" yet! At least according to the calendar... How is your weather?
