Glam Grab Accessory Auctions: A New Fun Shopping Experience

Image
If you're not yet a fan of Glam Grab Accessory Auctions on Facebook , you are missing out! Glam Grab provides a new, exciting way to shop for designer inspired contemporary jewelry and accessories. Their prices are fantastic, with most items under $35. This is a great place to get your bling without breaking the bank.  Personally, I have always maintained a large jewelry "wardrobe". I like to mix trendy fashion jewelry with my gold, diamonds and pearls. Trends come and go, so it's smart to spend less on those pieces (and more on the jewelry you'll hand down from generation to generation). Here is how the Glam Grab Accessory Auctions work. First, you want to "like" the Glam Grab page on Facebook HERE . Then, register on the website HERE . After taking these two steps, you'll all set to shop their accessory auctions. The auctions are held on Mondays at 7:30PM Central and Wednesdays at 11:00AM Central on the Facebook page HERE . When you se...

Fornash Favorites on Hautelook

Image
TGIF! After starting a new job this week and being stuck in a classroom for training, I'm ready to get outside and enjoy a beautiful Gulf coast weekend! What about you - any big plans for this weekend? Before you get the weekend started - you might want to hop over to Hautelook and check out the Fornash boutique. They have so many wonderful finds - including the Octopus Pendant Necklace pictured above. It normally retails for $46, and is priced at only $23 on Hautelook. I have this necklace and wore it to work yesterday - everyone loved it and I got so many compliments!  The Crystal Starfish earrings pictured above are another favorite of mine. These retail for $46 and are also only $23 on Hautelook . I don't have them yet, but today might be the day I order a pair! I love those pink and green stones, and am sure they'll match a large portion of my wardrobe.  I have a recent obsession with the Fornash leather bracelets, and they are perfect for layering. I love...

Pretty - But None Of Them Work!

Image
Happy Hump Day, Shopaholics!  This summer, I have been wearing my pink Toywatch and round face gold Gucci watches almost exclusively. And I never thought I would say it - but I'm getting a little tired of looking at those two. Yesterday, it was time to show a different style a little love. I was excited to find the above watches in my jewelry box (I actually forgot about the ESQ and Gucci bangle). Imagine my surprise when none of the four watches worked. Dead batteries, I presume. I set them all to 9:00 and waited. Still nothing. So today I'm off to the jewelry repair, and hoping that once batteries are replaced, they will be good as new!  Does this happen to you? Several things not working at the same time? So frustrating, huh? Maybe I should just forget about the time today! :-)  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!  p.s. Does anyone else think that Gucci bangle might be close to vintage status? I'm no Gucci watch expert...

Kevin Dobbins Pearls: New Designer Profile, Giveaway, Shopaholic Discount and Review

Image
TGIF, Shopaholics!  Recently I was thrilled and honored to be contacted by Kevin Dobbins Pearls out of Birmingham, Alabama. Kevin recently opened a store on Etsy (link HERE ) and began selling his gorgeous line of pearl jewelry. Additionally,  you can find his designs in boutiques across the southeast. Kevin's designs are devoted to the rich mythology of the mysterious pearl and showcasing its color, texture, contrast and composition. Kevin's thoughts on pearls:  "The high esteem that the South holds for pearls is always an influence in my designs. From a very early age, southern women realize the diversity of pearls and how to use them to their best advantage". This Shopaholic says "Amen, Kevin". I wear pearls all the time - and not always "just" a single strand of pearls. I love colored pearls, pearls mixed with gold and silver metals, functional clasps, unique shapes and designs. I also love to wear a pearl bracelet along with my Burberry ...

Bamboopink - The Opportunity

Image
TGIF, Shopaholics! What do you have planned for the weekend? I have *fingers crossed* for a relaxing beach day with the DH on Saturday!  By now, I'm sure many of you have heard about Bamboopink on other blogs, from your Facebook friends, etc. I was approached about this opportunity last month and just didn't have time to properly research it and make a decision about signing up. Let me tell you all - I'm not generally one to "buy in" to the next "big thing". You know how we all have those friends who seem like they have a new "scheme" every time you turn around, all to make $$$ and promise it's easy? If I hear "easy" combined with $$$, it usually makes me nervous.  After speaking at length earlier this week with a highly ranked member of the Bamboopink team, I have decided to jump on the wagon and take advantage of this opportunity! And you can help me by doing the same! Right now you can sign up to be a consultant for F...

Image
TGIF, Shopaholics! Are you ready for the weekend? Any big plans? We are expecting a high of 61 degrees on Sunday and I am soooooo ready! :-) What would you like from your sweetheart for Valentine's Day? Of course the obvious gifts are nice - chocolate covered Godiva strawberries, a new diamond from Cartier, one, two or three dozen roses, etc - but how about a special piece of handmade jewelry from a girl we all know and love? One of my favorite jewelry designers (and besties, of course) Caroline Grace Jewelry has introduced several new pieces into her line. They are perfect for a "gift to self" or a Valentine's Day gift. My readers know I have blogged about CGJ many times, and it's because her jewelry simply does not disappoint. It's always more beautiful in person than in the photographs. The detail to quality and workmanship in evident, and nothing but the best materials are used in the design process. Each piece is truly a small piece of art. Meet som...

Meet Kiel James Patrick - A New Preppy Favorite!

Image
Happy Thursday, Fashionistas! Today I'm so excited to introduce you (or help you become more familiar) with a wonderful preppy favorite brand, Kiel James Patrick. Through the miracle of Twitter, I met Kiel James Patrick several weeks ago. After looking over the website, I was in love with the designs. Everything is so, shall we say, Preppy? And you'll notice by looking on their website, everyone is just Pretty. The models are surrounded by boats and water, the sun is shining and it all makes me think summer. :-) What's not to love, right? Recently I placed an order for a few things that were my absolute favorites. My new goodies, in no particular order below.  Drift Oak Ear Knot, Tipsy at Black Pearl Pub $35 . Let me share a secret with you about Shopaholic and earrings. I never, ever, wear studs. The backs usually just bother me. When I talk on the phone (which I do - a LOT), they dig into the back of my head. They always make my ear lobes itch. I know, I have iss...
