Happy Sunday! I just saw this picture on Lilly Pulitzer's Facebook page and had to share with you - isn't it fantastic? I have no idea who created the picture (I'd love to give them credit if I could).  Today the hubby and I are working on the house - trying to get ready for another busy work week. Welcome to the latest edition of Salt Water Saturday! Last Saturday, I was fortunate enough to enjoy a wonderful day in the boat with my sister and parents. My DH was out of town for work, and my sister's DH took their boys fishing so she could relax for a while. Wasn't that sweet of him? We started out in the boat and went down to the west end of Dauphin Island. You can only get there via boat, as the island was broken apart by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. It's an amazing place where you can relax and not worry about traffic, tourists feeding seagulls (one of my biggest pet peeves), screaming kids, and whether you're looking thin enough to brave it at the beach in front of tons of people.  There are lots of shells on this particular stretch of beach. Many of them are perfectly shaped, but of course some are broken. We like to pick up shells to bring home and use in crafting projects. My favorite thing to do with the shells is fill a clear vase with one...

When your Ulta Reward Certificate is a level 11, does that mean it's time to stop shopping? Here's what it does mean: you spent at least $550 in one quarter at Ulta.  My question is this: wonder how close I was to a level 12?!!? Makes me mad I didn't do a better job of keeping track of my spending! Is anyone else obsessed with Ulta?!?!

Are you constantly searching for the perfect beach hat? Perhaps your requirements are the same as mine: your beach hat must be stylish, it must be comfortable, and preferably it matches everything in your closet. While I love the idea of a colored or printed beach hat, it rarely works for me in real life. Over and over again, I reach for a neutral hat on beach days. I was thrilled to find the above hat in my local Target. It was an absolute steal at only $14.99. The designer is Mossimo and the official style name is "Mossimo Supply Co Tan Shine Floppy Hat". What makes this hat so special? That shine is a gold-tone, so the hat really looks pretty in the sunlight. It's also large and floppy enough that it protected by face for a full day at the beach, and I didn't return home with a sunburned nose. :-)  What do you think of my new hat?
