My New Favorite Lilly Pulitzer Tunic: Meet Joycee, Resort 2011-2012

Image
Have you been salivating over the Lilly Pulitzer Resort collection? Naturally I have since it came out, and am working on adding "wish list" items to my existing Lilly Pulitzer obsession collection.  I always look forward to new Lilly Pulitzer tunic styles, and in this recent collection, they did not disappoint! Thankfully, my friends at Lilly included previous favorite styles such as the Ciara and the Thandie. They were also kind enough to add a newbie to the lineup: the Joycee! The Joycee is made of a cotton slub jersey material, has full length sleeves but it surprisingly lightweight. The neckline reminds me of my favorite top (Elsa!) with a mandarin collar and v-notch front. And an added bonus: the sleeves have an elastic cuff! It retails for only $98 and is currently available in three prints. Turquoise Jungle Glam Toile version is pictured above and is already one of my favorites prints of the season. Joycee also comes in Shorely Blue Toucan Tango. Don't y...

Lilly Pulitzer Resort 2011-2012: First Look & Favorites

Image
Happy Tuesday! The Resort collection by Lilly Pulitzer is always my favorite, hands down! This year is proving to be no exception, as evidenced by all the items that are finding their way on my wish list.  The first delivery of Resort 2011 should begin arriving tomorrow and over the next few days at our favorite websites and Lilly Pulitzer Via and corporate store locations. Get ready, because if you're like me, your wallet is going to be smoking!  The theme of the Resort 2011 collection is "Jungle Glam". The first items I'm featuring are part of the October 25 delivery, enjoy! (Please accept my apologies in advance for the picture quality, my tech support isn't home to install my new printer/scanner combo. The scanner on my dinosaur printer is on the fritz...ugh!) Elsa Top Pintucks, Black Skip On It, $158. I'm so happy the Elsa tops are back - they are a wardrobe staple for me!  Adalie Ruffle Wrap Dress, Black Greens With Envy, $168. Love a wrap d...

Lusting After Lilly...

Image
Greetings from the coast, where all of a sudden it's pretty chilly!  Quick! Someone remind me that I do not "need" this new Blayney Dress. Remind me that I already have six Blayney dresses in my closets. Remind me that I don't like to pay full price for my Lilly, as experience has taught me it always goes on sale. Somewhere. Sometime. Remind me that just yesterday we were talking about cleaning out closets and being organized. Remind yourself to help me watch for this dress to go on sale....Blayney in Hotty Pink Shell We Dance, $268.  :-) Have a wonderful Saturday and a great weekend!

Lori Loves Elsa - Tops, That Is...

My goodness, I can't believe it's already Thursday! I'm beginning to wonder if I will be ready for Santa's arrival...T-minus 9 days...yikes! And since I'm already so overwhelmed, and should be taking care of business, instead I'll be spending this afternoon in my stylist's chair. Phillip is going to DIE when he sees how much work my hair needs! Let's just say this - the remodel has not been kind to my roots, and I still have some paint in my hair. Oops. Moving right along to fun stuff - have you tried the ELSA top from Lilly Pulitzer? If not - you.must.get.one. Lilly added these to the line last year (resort) and the top quickly became a favorite among the pink and green crowd. I seem to recall, even my buddy Alice over at Summer Is A Verb looking high and low for a particular print in Elsa. :-) For the 2010 Resort line, the Elsa is back and it continues to be on my wish list, in every print/fabric combination - of course! I just ordered these two f...

Resort - My Favorite Season of Lilly!

Image
Happy Wednesday, Shopaholics! Sorry I've been a little MIA around these parts, but this remodel has been keeping me extremely busy and kicking my bootie. You see, I'm not really a fan of manual labor or inhaling fumes - and I've been doing quite a bit of both recently. :-) Today I take a little break to talk about my favorite season that Lilly Pulitzer produces - Resort. Every year I wonder - will I like it as much as last year? And true to form, Lilly never disappoints. This year is no exception. A few of my favorites (AKA "must haves") include: Jonah Dress, Skye Blue, Ball and Chain, $168 Newport Dress, Bright Navy, Great Escape, $148 Anders Dress, Hotty Pink, Ball and Chain, $238 Adalie Wrap Dress Printed, Hotty Pink, Doobloons, $148 (this print is seriously calling my name) Saemus Dress Printed Chiffon, Multi, Dripping In Jewels, $398 (this one is a perfect special occasion dress) I must confess - there are so many items on my "must have...

The Roslyn Bandwagon!

Image
Happy Thursday, fellow Shopaholics! One day closer to the weekend and I can't wait, as a 70-degree day is forecast for Sunday in these parts. Can you say - BEACH??? Ummmm YES. :-) While thinking of summer - which yes I know, I know - spring has to get here first - my mind turns to cute skirts and dresses. For years, I've had a love affair with my "Simple Skirts" from Lilly Pulitzer. They have just worked for me - and especially my "new" lifestyle (read - that means no "real" job). However it's quite possible I have a new LOVE in my LIFE. Meet Roslyn! This love affair started on Pink Friday (yes the day after Thanksgiving!) when I purchased her in WHAT THE SHELL PATCH Now I "need" her in the spring print "Ten Ton Bouquet" and I've purchased her in the PANDAMONIUM print: You can see Roslyn in all the available styles on Lilly's website . One thing I love the MOST about the skirts - each one has different detai...
