Lilly Shopping Frenzy

Image
Hello Friends! Did I tell you all I was having oral surgery on Tuesday? If not, I'm telling you now in hopes that it will excuse some of my behavior today....LOL. I came through the surgery fine, and basically lost my entire Tuesday on Valium! Earlier today I felt pretty bad still, but tonight I'm starting to feel human again. Just in time for the New Year! YEAH! Today I went on a shopping frenzy from the comfort of my bed and my pink laptop! I got the following items on sale (30% off) at Persnickety Palm in Leesburg, VA. Murfee Scarf in Shorely Blue Grand Scale Access: Joy Knit Tunic in Classic White One of a Kind: The highly coveted Worth Shift Colorblocked in Classic White Not So Crabby: I also found those Lilly Christmas ornaments for 50% off at Splash of Pink. I "only" ordered two of them. Glass Christmas ornament in Grasshopper Green Free Falling (LOVE the seahorse!) and Lillys Pink Checking In: THIS gem was located on Ebay late tonight. I

Another Lilly Pulitzer Sale - Should I Just Give Up?

Image
Hello FF! You'll find that I often start by saying the same things........the sales are KILLING me. I don't "need" anything - Santa was just here - before he arrived I spent way more than I should with my friends at the Lilly Pulitzer corporate store in Southlake, TX. I've been away from the computer all day - just busy. I return home tonight to this email. Splash of Pink, one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer via shop, has a huge section of sale merchandise. The sale prices are already VERY good, and now through Dec. 31, you get an EXTRA 25% off using the code "NEWYEAR" at time of checkout. You can see the sale items HERE . So far, I have been able to resist......but I'm not making any promises. I'm really tempted by the DAYLE printed knit top in the LA LA LA LILLY print: Just bought this last week and LOVE it - Burke Dress in Birds Eye View: The after holiday sales are fantastic this year! Now I'm just waiting on someone to tell m

Christmas Day, Gifts, Blessings & Missing Meme

Hello Fashionistas! Here's hoping you all had a wonderful and very Merry Christmas with your family and friends! We had a very busy few days around here, but I'm finally back home and ready to talk about Christmas! :-) What was under your tree? My Santas did a GREAT job this year! I received Lilly Pulitzer clothing, shoes and stationery; Philosophy Hope in a Jar giant 8 oz size, Bliss body products, a beautiful fish pewter plate, books, gift cards, cash and many more goodies! It would be impossible to say what my favorite gift was this year, they were all fabulous! I can't wait to start using/wearing everything tomorrow! NATCH, more important than the gifts, was spending time with family and friends this holiday season. I feel blessed to have so much family, and to live fairly close to most of them, so we can be together this time of year. I have lived away from my family during the holidays and it can be tough. When we moved back to the Gulf Coast a few years ago, I wa

Lilly Pulitzer Corporate Stores Sale

Image
Hello Fashionistas! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, it's nice and sunny here on the Gulf coast and a balmy 58 degrees. I have to admit I'm somewhat jealous of my friends in the northeast and their massive snowfall! It just feels like the holidays when it's cold and there's snow on the ground..... I am VERY EXCITED to tell you all about a FABULOUS sale that is happening at your local Lilly Pulitzer corporate store. A ton of the FALL 2009 collection is marked WAY down. They have some outstanding deals! I got this gorgeous Stephanie dress in Gotcha spotcha for $59, as well as the Sabine Dress in Lillys Pink Little Master of the House for $59, and the Blayney Dress in Cameo White Large Plume Bloom for $99. Talk about exciting! There is NOTHING like a great sale on Lilly Pulitzer to make your holidays bright!! Now I know many of you have access to a Lilly store locally, but sadly I do NOT. Therefore I have to order the majority of mine over the tele

LORAC Cosmetics - VIP Discounts

Image
Finally....time to talk about cosmetics for a bit! I LOVE LOVE LOVE buying new makeup. I buy WAY too much makeup, skin care, hair products, etc. but I can't help myself. I mean let's face it - we all look better with a little "help". Natural beauty is great, but natural beauty enhanced with the proper products, now that is fabulous! If you haven't tried the LORAC Cosmetics line, you really should. The line is generally available in Sephora stores nationwide. You can also purchase it directly from the LORAC website (this is my preferred method). On their website, be sure to check out the "Collections" and "VIP Discount" tabs. There are some awesome deals to be had, and they change frequently. Sometimes the "VIP" section will be discounted as much as 75%, and the "Collections" (or sets) are usually priced at 50-75% off their retail value. One of my favorites is the Lip Polish. This is lip gloss in a petite bottle that lo

Giving Back During the Holidays

Hello FF! We all know because the "media" won't let us forget.....the worldwide economy is in the tank this holiday season. Now I don't know about you, but I'm doing my part to help out. I'm shopping just as much as normal, and spending about the same as always. One thing that is really suffering because of the economy right now are the charitable organizations. This time of year, they REALLY depend on donations. There are many ways you can get involved that don't cost very much $$ or very much of your time. Here are some suggestions: 1. Volunteer to serve a meal at your local womens shelter, homeless shelter or soup kitchen. This is a great thing to do as a family and make a new tradition of giving that will be passed on for generations. 2. Adopt an "angel" from one of the trees. The Salvation Army has an excellent program for children. 3. Toys For Tots - United States Marine Corps has collection sites all over most towns. Take a new,

Christmas Shopping....

Is it just me, or do you also find it difficult to stay focused this time of year??? When shopping for everyone on your Christmas list, are you also tempted "one for them, one for me"??? Yep, that's my problem too. Especially when the deals are soooo good! I do the majority of my shopping online. It's so convenient, and I ♥ getting a box from UPS. I can hear the UPS truck a half mile away, and where I live at the beach, there aren't many people around this time of year. When I hear that familiar sound, I KNOW it's my package! When I lived up north (that would be NORTH Carolina, not the "real" north!) I had access to GREAT shopping. Nordstrom, Saks, Restoration Hardware, Sephora, Ulta, a huge Belk with a Lilly Pulitzer department that would blow your mind.......I must admit I MISS that shopping. Now I'm addicted to certain brands, and of course I cannot buy them locally. Thank goodness for the internet! Are you shopping online this year, or

Welcome!

Hello Fellow Fashionistas! Welcome to my new blog! I now have 2 - one I decided to dedicate to my attempt to lose weight before my 40th birthday (sshhhh don't tell anyone my age!). I found that soooo many times I wanted to chat about my favorite designers and shopping on that blog, but it didn't seem to "fit" the existing theme! So, I decided to set up this one to dedicate to FUN stuff. My favorite designers are Lilly Pulitzer, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, C & C California, and many others. I also LOVE to shop for cosmetics and skin care......I never met a Sephora or Ulta I didn't like! :-) Who are your favorites? Follow along and let's find some great deals together! :-)
