KLUTCHclub: Are you in the club?

Have you heard of KLUTCHclub yet? If you haven't, it's the newest monthly "box" subscription service that delivers a package of goodies relating to fitness, wellness and healthy snacks. Each monthly box is filled with products worth at least $50. What's really cool about this service is you get a chance to "test drive" items before purchasing them yourself. (check out their website HERE).

Most of you are probably familiar with other box subscription services like Birchbox or Glossybox, but this is much more interesting to me. As you all know, I have long struggled with my weight and trying to get back into shape (and stay in shape!) after turning 40. I love the idea of trying a variety of hand-selected products each month - and let's face, who doesn't love a surprise box of goodies at the door?

Each monthly box has a theme. Last month it was "Spring Clean Your Body" and included so many wonderful items!  Opening the box was the best part...
Ten items were included in my box, here is the list along with my opinion of the products. ZICO Coconut Water (this is delicious, but tastes best very cold!), Barlean's Organic Oils Mango Peach Fish Oil Supplement (tastes great and is easy to mix with your favorite beverage), Shea Terra Organics Deep Pore Facial Wash (doesn't smell great but provided a deep cleanse, skin felt wonderful after using this product), Kristin McGee's Power Yoga DVD (haven't tried the DVD yet), HyDrive Energy Mix (zero calories, perfect to kick start a workout, so easy to mix in your water bottle and tastes like berries!), Tea Forte Skin-Smart Tea in three flavors (haven't tried this yet, it's been so hot around these parts), Enjoy Life Foods Not Nuts! Seed and Fruit Mix (great snack at work, but I split it into 2 servings as the full package had 220 calories), Enjoy Life Foods Plentils (gluten free crunchy lentil chips in Garlic & Parmesan flavor, these are delicious and the package was only 100 calories), Kind Bar in Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate (200 calories, 7g of protein and very satisfying, this bar is yummy!), and a Yoga Hyde $25 gift card/coupon code (I haven't tried any Yoga Hyde apparel yet). What a fun assortment of new products to try!

Subscriptions come in one, three or twelve month packages. The one month package is $18 and auto-renews each month, and you can cancel at any time. The three month package is $17 per box and will not auto-renew. Finally, the twelve month package is $16 per box and will not auto-renew. The subscription information is available online HERE.  My opinion? This box is worth the monthly cost, and who knows - you might find that new favorite product you've been looking for! If you're already into fitness and wellness, you are sure to appreciate KLUTCHclub...
Next month's box is a collaboration with (RED) and all purchases using gift code (RED) will receive a 10% discount. In addition, profits will be donated to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. What a great cause (you know, if you "need" a reason to try KLUTCHclub)!

While the products are currently geared to women, KLUTCHmen is coming soon! You can keep in touch with all the goings-on via the KLUTCHclub Facebook page HERE, follow them on Twitter @KLUTCHclub, and follow them on Pinterest HERE.

What do you think about KLUTCHclub? Is this something you would enjoy?

FTC Disclaimer: KLUTCHclub sent me a complimentary box, in exchange for my honest review of their service. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own!

Trina Turk for Banana Republic

Have you heard about the Trina Turk collection, created exclusively for Banana Republic? Of course, Trina Turk is known for her bold prints and laid-back, California-cool style. Her pieces ooze a Palm Springs cool vibe, and are typically pretty expensive.

However, Trina Turk has created a capsule collection for Banana Republic, and it's debuting online and in stores on June 7. The collection will consist of swimwear, towels, dresses, shorts, sunglasses and accessories. Check out some of the pieces from the lookbook...

If you're like me and can't wait for the collection to hit stores (or know you won't be able to hit the store on June 7, ugh) - you're in luck! Trina Turk for Banana Republic will be featured on Gilt Groupe today (you can join Gilt Groupe free HERE). Pieces will be full price, which ranges from $34.50 - $150, but at least you can get the item or items you are coveting before they hit the stores! Get there early - Gilt Groupe sales start at 11am CT, noon Eastern

Are you also excited about this collection? Do you wear much Trina Turk? I can't wait to see all 60 pieces!

Gettin' The Lead Out Of My Feet And Out Of My Head!

Wow - what a wonderful holiday weekend! We had way too much to eat, way too much to drink, and today I am paying the price.

My morning started with 4 miles here at the beach to get the lead out - how about yours? It is seriously time to get motivated and going again - my exercise program has suffered big time the past few months.

How do you stay motivated? Any tricks I need to know about? And - does anyone know how to create an extra hour or two every day? I'm thinking I need at least 26, 28 hours in a day!

Happy Tuesday!

Honor Thy Solider

Happy Memorial Day! While you are beaching, boating and barbecuing today, please take a moment to appreciate the sacrifice of our military. Thank a Veteran - active duty or retired military - for their service to our country.

My primary job is helping our military members purchase a home (or maybe refinance their current home). One minute I'm talking to a retired Admiral in Washington DC, and the next minute a soldier just starting his or her career in Camp LeJeune, NC. I consider this my service - helping them.  There is a certain satisfaction of knowing I was able to assist - even in this small way.

Let's honor them today.

Bling Earrings From JoJo Loves You: Memorial Day Bling Sale

For those who aren't familiar, JoJo's beautiful designs are hand crafted in her studio based in Boston, MA. And lucky for us, she is hosting her Annual Memorial Day Sale!

One of my favorite items from JoJo are the bling earrings. Vintage Swarovski crystals are handset in sterling silver posts, and then packaged on hand-punched pink hearts and come in round signature silver tins. I really love that you can purchase sets of bling earrings in popular shades. This set includes Topaz with Pink, Light Pink and Snowflake, and normally retails for $90. However, this weekend only it's on sale for $60! What a deal! You can find the set HERE
Are you a gold or silver girl? I am definitely a "gold girl", and most of my jewelry is gold or at least has gold accents. I really love the Mini Party Bling Round pack in Summer colors pictured above. This pack includes yellow with gold base earrings, blue with gold base earrings and apple with gold base. The normal retail price of this set is $75, however it's on sale this weekend for $60. You can also see the set on JoJo's website HERE. Don't you think I "need" a set of these blings? :-)
In addition to her beautiful earrings, JoJo also designs a fantastic selection of necklaces and bracelets. This starfish necklace is strung on flat periwinkle quartz and is 17" with a 3" extender chain and retails for $140. Isn't this perfect for pairing with all your Summer frocks? You can see this necklace on JoJo's website HERE
New to the Spring collection, the Agate bracelets are available in a variety of colors. Each color and stone combination is unique. They are perfect for stacking with other style bracelets (I would stack with a gold bangle and a pearl bracelet myself). The Grass Green Agate bracelet is my favorite, and would certainly match all my Lilly!  It's only $22! You can view it HERE and see the other available colors HERE

JoJo's Memorial Day Sale begins now and lasts through Monday, May 28. You can view everything on the website HERE. I love all the designs, and also think it's important to support an independent designer - especially a female designer! :-)

JoJo Loves You is the cutest website - I know you'll appreciate her fun, beautiful designs! My problem is going to be narrowing down the list of what I want!

Hope you have a Super Sunday!

FTC Disclaimer: Of course I love all of JoJo's jewelry, but I'm required to tell you that in exchange for sharing this information with you, JoJo is sending me a pair of complimentary bling earrings.

Five For Friday

Are you ready for Memorial Day? This week has been so busy at work, I'm more than ready for a three-day weekend! I plan to enjoy every single moment, get a lot of sun and relax!

Today, I'll be sharing five of my favorite finds and thoughts. Enjoy!

#1: By now, you all know that I love the Uscoop website and frequently pick up Today's Chase. If you haven't heard this yet, my friends at Uscoop recently launched an online boutique that features some of our favorite preppy designers. The new website is Tuckernuck, and brand offerings include Gretchen Scott, Castaway Clothing, Strong Boalt, Harding-Lane, Loren Hope, and many others. You simply must check out their website HERE - and note they are offering 20% off through Monday, May 28 using discount code "Memorial20" at checkout.

#2: OK, I'll admit it...since I started working again, I now drink coffee every morning. I don't really know how it happened - I suppose after all these years, I just caved in to the pressure. My whole family loves their coffee, and now I've joined the fold. During a recent visit to Publix, I decided to try this new flavored coffee creamer from International Delight.  Try this in your morning coffee, and I promise you - it's worth the calories. And it really does taste just like an Almond Joy! But be warned: it's addictive.

#3: In my house, there is a "gift closet". This is where I stockpile small gift items - stationery, photo frames, candles, notebooks, and other "grab and go" pieces. I always have a gift on hand for an impromptu occasions. The Jonathan Adler gift line by Lifeguard Press is a staple in my gift closet, and is currently featured as a sale boutique on One Kings Lane. I LOVE the Chevron prints, it's one of my favorites. Time to stock up! (you can join One Kings Lane for free HERE).
#4: Why in the world did Lorac discontinue their popular Lip Polish? "Bliss" is one of my favorite lip glosses of all time, and I stockpiled it forever. Now it is no more, I cannot find it anywhere. I feel like hopping on a plane and letting Carol Shaw know how upset I am about this! Do you know where to find this product? If so, please let me know!

#5: I'll take one of these Fornash Derby Collection Bracelets in each color, thank you very much. I have this bracelet in black and wear it to work at least two days a week. It is great for layering with other bracelets (looks wonderful with stacks of pearls). I have to admit, I'm totally obsessed with any horse bit design. I'll be waiting on these babies to go on sale somewhere...

What do you think about my Five For Friday? Hope you have a wonderful day!

SwimSpot: Swimwear Giveaway & Review

Have you heard of the online retailer, SwimSpot? I was thrilled when they contacted me to host a blog giveaway and website review. The timing was spot-on because just last week, the DH was telling me "you need some new swimsuits - yours are faded and look awful". How's that for permission to spend money? No wonder I love that man...

Let's face it - we all know that buying women's swimwear can be a traumatic, intimidating and eye opening experience. In my opinion, any retailer or tool that helps me feel confident I've purchased the right suit for my body type is a huge bonus! The SwimSpot website has an amazing Bikini Builder. This will help you determine your body type and then customize your own swimsuit look. Cool, huh? You can test it yourself HERE, I know you'll love it. I played around with it for quite some time myself! Another feature on their website is the Fit Specialist. This provides different suit options based on your body type, and you can also contact the professionals at SwimSpot to schedule your concierge Fit Specialist session. Check out the Fit Specialist feature HERE and see what you think.

I found their website very easy to navigate, as you can shop by style or designer. You can also narrow down your choices of tops or bottoms (hello, tankini tops and bottoms with more coverage).  They carry a wonderful assortment of swimwear brands such as St. John, Splendid, Athena, Ella Moss, Reef and many others. Doesn't matter if you're looking for a new bikini, tankini or one-piece, you are likely to love something on SwimSpot. Here are a few of my favorite suits (some of which no way I could ever wear, but I still love them!)

Ella Moss Calypso Stripe Halter Bikini Top and Side Tie Bottom, $63 for top and $55 for bottom (view on website HERE). If you've been busting it at the gym and gave up carbs all winter and spring, this is the suit for you. This suit is sexy and we all know it! (yes, pun intended). Perfect for fun in the sun, minimize those tan lines with this little number!

Athena Heavenly Ruffle Tankini, $65 for top and $45 for bottom (view on website HERE). Exposed zippers have been a big trend in fashion for several seasons, and now they've arrived in swimwear styling. I love this style because it's super flattering and subtly sexy, but you're covered enough to swim, play frisbee on the beach and see your husband's family.
Hurley Women's Rashguard and Hipster Bikini Bottom with Ties, $43 for rashguard and $31 for bottom (view on website HERE). If you spend your beach time doing more surfing than sunning, this is the suit for you. The rashguard has a floral print around the sleeves to create a feminine look while giving you the coverage you need. This suit makes me want to take up surfing (too bad the Gulf of Mexico's waves aren't ideal for surfing).

Splendid Malibu Stripe Asymmetrical Bandeau Bikini Top and Retro Bikini Bottom, $61 for top and $51 for bottom (view on website HERE). Who wouldn't love this navy and fuchsia color combination? With retro styling and a nod to the asymmetrical trend, this is one hot suit. You will be the envy of everyone around!

St. John Simply Chic Asymmetrical One Piece, $180 (view on website HERE). When I saw this suit online, my first thought was "perfect for pool party with the Real Housewives of Orange County". This design embraces the asymmetrical trend, but I don't consider this suit trendy at all. One word comes to mind: elegant. Period. Those sparkling crystals are magnificent! Can you imagine how they would reflect in the sunlight? Pass my Chanel sunglasses, please.
Swim Spot also offers a wide selection of coverups (view HERE) and they even included the minnies! You can shop girls' swimwear HERE, where you're sure to find the perfect suit for your little fashionista.

Which suits are your favorites? There are so many, I had a difficult time narrowing my choices down to the ones I featured above. Also of note, SwimSpot offers free priority ground shipping with orders over $75 and return shipping is free with an exchange.

Now, get excited because SwimSpot is offering a giveaway for Shopaholic In Alabama readers! One lucky reader will win a $50 gift card to use on the SwimSpot website! How fun is that? Just in time for the unofficial start of summer! Here's how you can enter to win the giveaway:

Wish List Wednesday: Lilly Pulitzer, Nautical Style

Every year, the Summer Lilly Pulitzer collection is my favorite. Hands down. True to form, Lilly didn't disappoint this year. I love so many pieces from the Summer collection, I could purchase one of everything. (never mind I can't wear a lot of this to work...that's not the issue, ha!). The issue is narrowing down my "must have" list, here are a few of my favorites.

Tylar Dress, Scallopy Stripey, $298
Minta Dress, Chiquita Bonita, $228
Camie Dress, You Gotta Regatta, $108
Thandie Tunic, Chiquita Bonita, $138
What do you think of the Summer Lilly collection? Which pieces are your favorites? I have to admit - I've been a little out of touch with my Lilly collection since going back to work.  However, it might be time to correct that little problem! :-)

Have a great day, be sure to tune in tomorrow. Hint: Fabulous Swimwear. Giveaway. You'll love it!

Living Proof Straight Spray: Helping Me Break The Flat Iron Habit

Going back to work has created several "problems" for me. You know - lack of sleep, lack of time for housecleaning, running out of Diet Coke, etc. However, one of the biggest hassles of working is having to fix my hair every.single.day.

You see, when I was working from home and only going into the office one day a week, I could go days without touching my hair with a flat iron because quite often, only the husband would see me. I could hide my bad hair days behind the computer. Not so much anymore, my friends. As a result, I've been torturing my hair with the flat iron and hair dryer on an almost daily basis.

The last time I went to see my hair guru Phillip, he informed me that my hair was literally breaking off around my face. I was horrified. Horrified and devastated. I've never had problems with breakage - my hair has always been thick, lush and healthy.  I wanted to cry, but instead I started to look for a new styling product as I knew I had no choice - I had to lay off the flat iron for a while. (Or according to Phillip, soon I wouldn't have any hair to flat iron!). Well, when you put it like that.....

During a trip to Ulta, I decided to pony up the $29 price tag and purchased the Living Proof Straight Spray. According to the manufacturer, this product "extends the life of straight styles". You apply this spray to wet or dry hair and then blow dry your hair. I'm now a firm believer in this product, and I can tell you it works.

Now I'm able to blow dry my hair straight, and only slightly touch up with a flat iron on day one. On days two and three, I use this Straight Spray on dry hair, then quickly run the hair dryer through my hair without using the flat iron.

Maybe I'll be able to save my hair after all! I can't believe how great the spray works. If you're trying to break the flat iron habit but love the look of smooth, sleek hair - I recommend you try this product. I'm betting you'll love it too!

Have you tried any of the Living Proof products? If so, how did you like them?

Note: these products are available at Ulta and Sephora.

The Webster Shop at Target

Did you also fall in love with The Shops at Target? Naturally, my favorite shop is The Webster. All the designs are fun, and they are affordable so I didn't feel guilty about picking up several items. Here are some of my favorites - a few I have already purchased, others still need to be ordered.

The Webster at Target Tie Front Dress - Plaid Print Navy, $42.99. I purchased this dress at my local Target store and absolutely love it! I managed to integrate it into last week's work wardrobe by pairing it with my Lilly Pulitzer wedges in navy. This dress was a hit - at least a half dozen people asked me about it. Very comfortable too!
The Webster at Target Strapless Maxi Dress - Wallpaper Print Cream, $44.99.  My local Target store had this dress for exactly two days. On my first trip, I didn't purchase it because I was trying to minimize my purchases that day. Ugh...the next day, it was already gone. Good thing it's still available online, as I still want it!
The Webster at Target Tie Front Dress - Plaid Print Pink, $42.99. I already know what you're thinking..."isn't that the same dress as above, except it's pink?". And yes, you are correct. But I love the navy version so much, I'm thinking I need this as well! And it is perfect for work. What a great excuse to purchase, huh? :-)
The Webster at Target Easy Waist Short Sleeve Dress - Melon, $36.99. My store didn't carry this dress, so I haven't seen it in person yet. But I'm dying to order it, I think it's perfect for knocking around on the weekend. Think of how cute this would look paired with a long gold necklace, and cute flat sandals (seems it might be a little short to wear with wedges). Fantastic option "post-beach"!
The Webster at Target Chandelier Earrings - Gold, $14.99. These babies were in my cart on day one. I'm already a sucker for a chandelier earring, but if you produce them in gold sand dollars, I'm powerless to resist. Note: they are a tad heavy, I can't wear them all day but they look great for about 5 hours at a time. :-)

The Webster at Target - Coral Stripe Hat, $19.99. Of course I need the hat to pair with the Melon colored dress!
The Webster at Target - Cap Toe Wedge Pump in Tan/Natural, $39.99. These are perfect for work and can be worn all spring and summer. According to the online reviews, they have a little gold thread weaved into the side and toe of the wedge. Not available in stores, so naturally I haven't seen these in person. How about you?

Did you also fall in love with The Webster? What items are on your "must have" list? Note that most all of the items (with the exception of some of the jewelry) are still available online. If you order online and spend $50, shipping is free. Also, some of the clothing items are marked "spend $50, save 10%" online. Don't forget to link through Ebates (join free HERE) if you order online to earn 3% cash back on your purchase!

Happy Monday!
