SwimSpot: Swimwear Giveaway & Review
Have you heard of the online retailer, SwimSpot? I was thrilled when they contacted me to host a blog giveaway and website review. The timing was spot-on because just last week, the DH was telling me "you need some new swimsuits - yours are faded and look awful". How's that for permission to spend money? No wonder I love that man...
Let's face it - we all know that buying women's swimwear can be a traumatic, intimidating and eye opening experience. In my opinion, any retailer or tool that helps me feel confident I've purchased the right suit for my body type is a huge bonus! The SwimSpot website has an amazing Bikini Builder. This will help you determine your body type and then customize your own swimsuit look. Cool, huh? You can test it yourself HERE, I know you'll love it. I played around with it for quite some time myself! Another feature on their website is the Fit Specialist. This provides different suit options based on your body type, and you can also contact the professionals at SwimSpot to schedule your concierge Fit Specialist session. Check out the Fit Specialist feature HERE and see what you think.
I found their website very easy to navigate, as you can shop by style or designer. You can also narrow down your choices of tops or bottoms (hello, tankini tops and bottoms with more coverage). They carry a wonderful assortment of swimwear brands such as St. John, Splendid, Athena, Ella Moss, Reef and many others. Doesn't matter if you're looking for a new bikini, tankini or one-piece, you are likely to love something on SwimSpot. Here are a few of my favorite suits (some of which no way I could ever wear, but I still love them!)
Ella Moss Calypso Stripe Halter Bikini Top and Side Tie Bottom, $63 for top and $55 for bottom (view on website HERE). If you've been busting it at the gym and gave up carbs all winter and spring, this is the suit for you. This suit is sexy and we all know it! (yes, pun intended). Perfect for fun in the sun, minimize those tan lines with this little number!
Athena Heavenly Ruffle Tankini, $65 for top and $45 for bottom (view on website HERE). Exposed zippers have been a big trend in fashion for several seasons, and now they've arrived in swimwear styling. I love this style because it's super flattering and subtly sexy, but you're covered enough to swim, play frisbee on the beach and see your husband's family.
Hurley Women's Rashguard and Hipster Bikini Bottom with Ties, $43 for rashguard and $31 for bottom (view on website HERE). If you spend your beach time doing more surfing than sunning, this is the suit for you. The rashguard has a floral print around the sleeves to create a feminine look while giving you the coverage you need. This suit makes me want to take up surfing (too bad the Gulf of Mexico's waves aren't ideal for surfing).
Splendid Malibu Stripe Asymmetrical Bandeau Bikini Top and Retro Bikini Bottom, $61 for top and $51 for bottom (view on website HERE). Who wouldn't love this navy and fuchsia color combination? With retro styling and a nod to the asymmetrical trend, this is one hot suit. You will be the envy of everyone around!
St. John Simply Chic Asymmetrical One Piece, $180 (view on website HERE). When I saw this suit online, my first thought was "perfect for pool party with the Real Housewives of Orange County". This design embraces the asymmetrical trend, but I don't consider this suit trendy at all. One word comes to mind: elegant. Period. Those sparkling crystals are magnificent! Can you imagine how they would reflect in the sunlight? Pass my Chanel sunglasses, please.
Swim Spot also offers a wide selection of coverups (view HERE) and they even included the minnies! You can shop girls' swimwear HERE, where you're sure to find the perfect suit for your little fashionista.
Which suits are your favorites? There are so many, I had a difficult time narrowing my choices down to the ones I featured above. Also of note, SwimSpot offers free priority ground shipping with orders over $75 and return shipping is free with an exchange.
Now, get excited because SwimSpot is offering a giveaway for Shopaholic In Alabama readers! One lucky reader will win a $50 gift card to use on the SwimSpot website! How fun is that? Just in time for the unofficial start of summer! Here's how you can enter to win the giveaway:
