National "Wear Your Lilly" Day!

Happy Monday, Shopaholics! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Are you participating in national "Wear Your Lilly" day today? This annual event celebrates the "official" start of summer - although we've been experiencing summer temperatures for several months here on the Alabama gulf coast!

Today I'm running errands around town, in and out of the car and the heat, so I plan to be cool and comfortable in my new Lilly Resort shorts in Aquamarine Fresh Catch Toile.

    That is too cute! I love those shorts. I tried them on and they did not look good on me. I just can't wear shorts. I got some on the sale table for $30. Praise the Lord!

    I can't change into the Lilly until after work, but I'm going to a GOP event tonight and have my Lilly shift waiting for me. It's a classic shift, but I have no idea what the pattern is called. It's turquoise with coral fish, though.

Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
