Happy Mardi Gras

Hello Fashionistas! Pardon the bad picture and my awful roots (yes I have to get that handled next week).....but I wanted to say "hello" quickly and tell everyone HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

The season has officially started on the Gulf Coast. Today we attended two parades here on Dauphin Island, AL where my parents have a second home. The wind was blowing soooo bad, normally I would not be caught dead with my hair like this. But today's windy weather, combined with 70% humidity and the need for a hair cut and color didn't leave me very many choices.

For those who don't know, Mardi Gras originated in my hometown of Mobile, AL. Most people think it started in New Orleans......nope. Not correct. Soon I'll give you the history and tell you all about it. Right now the wireless signal is awful here on the island!

We'll be home tomorrow evening and my posting will return to "normal" - at least as normal as it was before. HA. Hope you're having a FABULOUS weekend.

p.s. The greatest thing about my ensemble today was the Lilly Pulitzer MURFEE scarf in Surf Blue Checking In. If you don't already have one, you should consider. This colorway matches almost everything I own!
