A Very Sad TV Week...

Happy Monday, my friends! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I'm happy to say, migraine is now gone and I'm ready to hit on all cylinders this week! DH is on vacation next week so lots to do around here!

Fess up - did you watch the Series finale of "Lost" last night? What did you think? Now of course there are a ton of thoughts about what happened - were they dead the whole time? Was the island a "purgatory" of sorts? Why were some of the characters like Richard, Miles and Frank - they made it on the plane but weren't in the church? So many unanswered questions!

Three years ago, DH said "I think they're already dead". Was he right all along? I have a feeling this will all be debated for quite some time. Similar to the ending of "The Sopranos".....BTW, do you guys think Tony is dead? :-)

To add insult to injury, tonight I must say goodbye to my long time favorite drama, "24". Yes at times it has been unbelievable, and perhaps unrealistic, but it makes my Monday nights bearable. I'm secretly in love with Kiefer Sutherland........yes I know, I know. He drinks a little too much. He gets into a bunch of trouble. This is probably partially why he's so appealing.

I've watched Jack mature, grow and change. I can't believe it's coming to an end tonight. I really wish the writers hadn't killed Renee off earlier this year. It's time for Jack to sail off into the sunset - a happy man that isn't a fugitive. We'll see!

What's a Shopaholic to do without her two favorite shows? Only time will tell what replaces them in my hearts, but I've enjoyed them both! What are your current favorites? Obviously I have two free hours at night, starting next week!

Have a wonderful Monday - don't forget that Lilly coupon for 20% off expires today! See Sunday's post for a link to the original writeup!

  1. I watched every season of Lost until this final one. It might sound crazy, but I just completely lost interest. TRIED to watch the finale tonight, but after about 10minutes of the end of the 2hr recap, I quit. Oh well.

As far as 24 goes... you mean to tell me it's leaving TV for good? SO SAD! I just got into watching it on Netflix and have been DVRing this whole season (going to watch it all at once one of these days). How sad!

    XoXo.

  2. Loved the finale last night. There were a lot of unanswered questions still. I'm hoping the creators will do another explanation show. That would be nice, but I'm guessing that's part of the allure of the show. We're all a little lost, but that's okay. Although I still want answers!! :)

  3. I really enjoyed the finale show. But I think we needed about 4 hours so the writers could finish up and answer so many unanswered questions!

And I am really depressed about the end of 24! And Law in Order. All my favorite shows are finished...

  4. I, personally, am devastated... but oh so glad that it ended happily ever after. I couldn't take any more sadness after Sun & Gin's episode a few weeks back.

  5. Of course I watched Lost, and I totally agree...I think the island was "purgatory" and they were dead the whole time (At the very end, it showed the original crash with what looked like no survivors). Remember Jacob telling Hurley that the island was like the cork for hell (the wine bottle)? I'm disappointed too - for them to have drawn it out this long and then just cut it off like that? Come on! So what do you think Dharma and pushing the button had to do with anything? And why wasn't Michael or Walt in the Church? I obvi need someone to talk to about this nonsense!!
