Salt Water Saturday: Girls Weekend & Caroline Grace Birthday Celebration


Happy Weekend Everyone! 


Who remembers my friend LG over at Caroline Grace Jewelry? You know, the jewelry designer who makes the fabulous cuff bracelets such as THIS one?


She is headed down to the beach as we speak (hence my post going up in the middle of the night, I don't want her to see on the iPhone while driving!). To celebrate, I stocked up on some of our favorite drinks - wine, Mojitos and Skinnygirl Margaritas. In addition, my friends at the Publix bakery made her a beach-themed birthday cake; I insisted it be trimmed in pink and green with the exception of the water scene on the top. Add some fresh flowers and we're ready to go! 




Do you like the cake? I'm hoping she will be surprised - LG has no idea I did all this! We plan to spend all day today and tomorrow on the beach - working on our tans and solving all the world's problems (LOL, we wish). BFF Ashleigh will be joining us and it promises to be a great time!

    Happy Birthday, Lucy! Lori, you are so sweet to do this for her. Hope you two have a fun weekend. While you are working on world peace and all, could you maybe come up with a plan for those guys in Washington? They seem to be brainless right now.

Happy Tuesday, Shopaholics! Thanks so much for all your kind words and comments after my last blog post. Admittedly I was feeling a wee bit sorry for myself and a little unloved. Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
