Salt Water Saturday: Lots of Traffic, Even More People and Oppressive Heat!





Happy Salt Water Saturday, blends! 


This is one of those days that is gorgeous  ---- but reminds me of why life at the beach can be difficult in July! 


The temp is 99 degrees. It took me over three hours to drive from Mobile to Gulf Shores today - this is normally a 75-90 minute drive, tops. There are soooo many people down here - even the restaurants that aren't very good are packed! 


These are the days...that make me wish for back to school time! I don't plan to move again until Monday!

    Good golly! Why so many people? The water on Sanibel was 90 degrees a few weeks back. Too hot for me. Big hug to you & the D-man.

    wow....bless your heart. I think after seeing this I am def. spoiled with my beach. Kiawah Is in SC is not half as crowed and very private. I think I shall stay put too.

Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
