We're Going To Make It!

It looks like our area has made it through Hurricane (now Tropical Storm) Isaac just fine. We are headed home tomorrow to assess any possible damage and try to get things back in order. I anticipate getting back to regular posts by Thursday or Friday. Thanks to everyone who has emailed, sent texts, called, etc to check on me. I really appreciate it. 

 It certainly could have been much worse - and our friends in coastal MS and LA are experiencing the worst of Isaac. I hope they are all ok.  It seems like a cruel joke to endure this on the 7th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina - the day that changed so many lives forever. 

 More later and until then, hope everyone is doing well!

Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
