I Bet You Didn't Know.....

Hello Fashionistas! I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday - it's one day closer to the weekend! The temps are warming up here; our forecast shows high 60's for the next few days! Thank goodness because I am tired of the cold weather!

Today I thought I would do a little something different, in the spirit of getting to know you all better! I hope my fellow blog friends will follow suit, I think this could be fun! Without further ado.......

10 Things You Didn't Know About Me

  •  I don't eat mushrooms, and I don't eat oysters.
  •  DH and I are "childless by choice".
  •  My hearing is legendary in our circles. I can hear you talking  over the hairdryer, on the other side of the house. So don't do it! :-)
  •  My eyesight is awful. I've worn glasses (or contact lenses) since the 3rd grade! Prescription -4.50 and -4.75, left and right.
  • When I was 18, I was offered a job at FBI Headquarters in DC. I thought I was too immature for the big city and turned it down. (Idiot!)
  • I don't understand the fascination with "E", The Batchelor or Real Housewives.
  • While in high school, I never picked up a book and made A's and a few B's. This made me have to work hard in college, and I'm one year short of my batchelors degree.
  • I ride a Mardi Gras float every year, but we don't wear costumes.
  • My family owns a monument company and several cemeteries!
  • I have no idea what my natural hair color is anymore!

    I love it! I can't remember my natural color anymore either. My daughter has worn glasses since she was 20 months old....6.50 and 6.25. I will have to do this tomorrow. Hope your having a great day! XOXO

    I knew there was a reason I liked you! I don't eat mushrooms or oysters either and we have the same contact prescription except my left is -4.75 and my right is -4.50. I do however have a unexplainable love for trash TV.

    I love this post! I had to get glasses in 3rd grade, too--UGH!!! Don't eat oysters, either, which is a totally odd thing from someone raised in New Orleans. ;)

Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
