Weekend Whereabouts....

Happy Saturday, Shopaholics! Are you glad it's the weekend? Any big plans?

A few days ago, our refrigerator began to die a slow death. Ask me how much "fun" it's been trying to keep a refrigerator and freezer FULL of food cold for the past few days? Yeah, not much fun at all. Our kitchen is littered with coolers full of ice and food. It's a real pain to even find the milk to make your cereal. Ugh.

At some point today, Lowe's will deliver a new refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. I can't tell you how happy I will be to see that truck pull up! I'm sure the entire day will be tied up with it though - getting the kitchen back in order after this latest little disaster. Thank goodness the DH is home to help, it's been a rough few days!

We also plan to enjoy a little NFL football over the weekend. Since our team (Dallas Cowboys) wasn't even close to playoff status this year (!), I honestly don't care who wins the games. But I will offer this personal opinion -anyone except the Steelers in the Super Bowl, please! :-)

Enjoy your weekend, and don't miss Monday's post! I plan to finally speak out on a little something that has been bothering me for a long time...

  1. Oooh, a fridge dying is NO fun! But getting new ones sure is! You better make sure that you have plenty of white wine and champagne chilling in there! XoXo

  2. I have a question because I admire how well you shop. I have a hard time ordering things on-line without trying them on hence the great discount websites. But because I'm a stay=at-home mom, and I'm on a budget, Lilly things can blow that budget fairly quickly, but if at a good price then maybe I can slip in it. Do you ever buy ahead when the stores have the sales like a sundress or capri pants in December. I see the summer dresses, but I'm bundled up like an Eskimo, and can't think that far ahead. I tend to go for the winter rack on sale, but they aren't discounted as much. Do you have a strategy where you buy summer in December, etc? And is there a Lilly outlet anywhere? We have a Lilly boutique where I live called, "Palm Avenue".

  3. I am 100% with you on the NFL games this year Lori!! I love the Colts - Peyton Manning and the Giants - Eli Manning ;-), but beyond that, I don't have another team I love. At times I will cheer for one because they have a really poignant human interest angle, but not this year. Have fun with the kitchen semi-reno ;-) xoxo

  4. Yeah, our Cowboys didn't do so hot this year. I figure I will enjoy the food and fellowship of the Super Bowl Party this year more than the actual game ;) well, except the commercials!

Yuck that the fridge konked out on you, but all new appliances will be nice!
