Coveted Clutch For Gameday


Happy Sunday! Hopefully you are enjoying a nice weekend! 


Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Alabama vs. Vanderbilt game in Tuscaloosa. It was Homecoming for the University of Alabama - and therefore a perfect time to break out my new clutch from Diana E. Kelly. If you're not familiar with DEK, she designs some of the most comfortable shoes on the planet - as well as these beautiful clutch bags. Diana's designs were featured on this blog back in July, see previous post HERE. 


My clutch is just like the one pictured above and yesterday I carried it all around town. Honest to goodness, I'm not exaggerating when I say that everyone wanted this bag! I received so many compliments - from both women and men, young and old alike. If I had a trunk full of the DEK clutches, I believe I could have sold every one. :-) 


Don't worry - even if you're not a Bama fan, Diana has a clutch perfect for your gameday ensemble.

Last but not least, if you prefer to watch your football on Sundays, this design is perfect for the New Orleans Saints fans among us...(or, if you're like me and just love anything with a Fleur de lis).

I'm hoping it's cool enough weather for our next home game (10/22/11 vs. Tennessee) to sport my red Maria flats with the elephant brooch. I have a rule, no closed toe shoes around here until the temps reach 60 degrees or less during the day.

Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
