Monday Musings



Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today I have a few random thoughts...

 
Musing #1: Our weather is so strange this time of year. Just last week, we had highs in the 50's and lows in the 30's. Today, our projected high is 77 degrees and tomorrow it will be 79 degrees. Does this mean I can get a suntan in late October? At least it will make my 4 miles nice, huh?

Musing #2: All the Alabama and LSU fans are buzzing about the game on Saturday, November 5 in Tuscaloosa. Experts say this game will likely decide who plays for the BCS National Championship, and even the national media is all over it. Of course (!) I will be there, and I'm already just a little nervous about it. Who will win? One thing is for sure, it's going to be an intense game. Might be the first time in years I've had something brown with my Diet Coke in the stadium, haha. 
Musing #3: Speaking of the above mentioned game, I'm already working on my game day wardrobe. What do you guys think of this dress by Tracy Negoshian? I might "need" it for the game, but of course I can't be sure about the weather.  Will this be too warm or too cold? I suppose I can always add boots and tights (and a sweater coat) if it's cold, and wear flats and go tight-less if it's warm. I love this dress, the Stephany (available on TN's website HERE).
Musing #4: Everyone gets so excited about Halloween - yet it's my least favorite holiday. Sometimes I think it's because I don't have children, but then I remember...I didn't really "love" Halloween even when I WAS a child! Hmm...my Mother isn't a big Halloween fan either, did she influence me?

    LOVE the TN dress Lori and I say yes you definitely need it! Will you email me & let me know how their sizing runs? I have a couple items on my wish list too and am curious if they run small or TTS. Thanks sweet friend!

Happy Tuesday, Shopaholics! Thanks so much for all your kind words and comments after my last blog post. Admittedly I was feeling a wee bit sorry for myself and a little unloved. Birthday Celebration: Lilly Pulitzer Giveaway from The Pink Pelican

Today I will celebrate my birthday. I'm a little bit sad to report, the DH is out of town and won't be able to come home for the festivities. Not that it's a big deal or anything (not a milestone birthday or anything), but I am a LEO and y'all know it's true - Leos love their birthday. I'm no exception! Tonight I will celebrate with my sister and BFF by going out to dinner, and tomorrow with birthday cake and gifts with my parents, nephews and friends. I'm so thankful for it all, but I'm going to miss my sweetie. :-(  My friends at The Pink Pelican in Huntsville have generously offered a giveaway to commemorate the day!  Most of you know, they are one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer Via shops and I buy lots of my Lilly from Angie and The Pelican Crew!
